Ever looked at a game or program and weren't sure that it would run on your computer? Well, look no further! This guide will go through where the details of your computer are hidden.
Click on the "Start" button in the bottom
left of the screen and select "Control Panel"..

If the screen below appears, click "Switch to Classic View"

Then double-click on:"System"

The window that appears displays several important details about
your computer system.
Under System, the computer will tell you what version of
Windows it is running, as well as what version Service Pack is installed.
Under Computer,
it displays the type of processor installed and what speed it runs at as well as the amount of RAM installed.
Then click on the "Hardware" tab at the
top of the window and click on the "Device Manager" button.
Note: In versions of Windows prior to 2000, Device
Manger will have it's own tab instead of a "Hardware" tab.
The Device Manager is a useful utility that allows you to see and control each piece of hardware installed in your system. We will just use it to identify the required system specs for now. Device Manager is structured in way that each device are in particular categories. For example, hard drives and USB flash drives are all located under the Disk drives header. Simply double-click each header to expand the device catergories.
Under Display Adapters will be the model of your computers
graphics card. This is sometimes required to be a newer card than
the card specified by a game for the game to run smoothly.
If Network Adapters is
present, this usually means that you have a network card in your system.
Under Sound, video and game controllers, there will be many different options. If there is a device with Audio Controller in the name, this usually means that there is a Sound Card present in your system.
